Itinerary:

DAY 1: NAIROBI – SAMBURU

We will come and pick your from your hotel, and depart from it by 0730hrs for Samburu Game Reserve. Before heading out of Nairobi, we will stop over at a convenience store so that you may but your desired drinks and drinking water. Enroute, we will stop over for a picnic lunch, and then proceed for Samburu. We should arrive at the Park by mid afternoon, whereby you will have a game drive as we head to camp. Upon reaching camp, we will set up camp and pending on our time schedule, we will depart for an evening game drive by 1600hrs and return to camp by 1830hrs for evening tea followed by dinner.

 DAY 2: SAMBURU

We will start off the day with an early wake up call at 0600hrs. After a quick cup of tea, we will head out for an early morning game drive and return back to camp at 0930hrs, for breakfast. After breakfast, you will spend the day at the camp, which is situated on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. Lunch will be served on the river banks, and in the afternoon, at 1600hrs, we will depart for an evening game drive, to return to camp at 1830hrs for evening tea, to be followed by dinner.

DAY 3: SAMBURU – MARSABIT  

After breakfast, we will pack up and head out of the camp by 0730hrs. You will have a game drive enroute to the park gate and then we will to Marsabit. Enroute, we will stop over for a picnic lunch, and then proceed to Marsabit. We should arrive at the Park by late afternoon, whereby you will have a game drive as we head to camp. Upon reaching camp, we will set up camp and pending on our time schedule, we will depart for an evening game drive by 1600hrs and return to camp by 1830hrs for evening tea followed by dinner.

DAY 4: MARSABIT – KALACHA   

We start off the day early with a wake up call at 0600hrs. After an early breakfast, we will decamp and depart for Maralal by  0730hrs. Enroute, we will stop over for a picnic lunch, and should arrive at camp towards late afternoon and we will set up camp. Depending on our time schedule, we will also visit the dunes and an ancient church with biblical paintings from Ethiopia. In the evening we will have tea followed by dinner.

We start off the day early with a wake up call at 0600hrs. After an early breakfast, we will decamp and depart for Turkana by  0730hrs. Enroute, we will stop over for a picnic lunch at Merele. We will then start crossing the Chalbi Desert, endless vast lands with no vegetation. We should arrive at camp towards late afternoon and we will set up camp and in the evening have tea followed by dinner.

DAY 6: LAKE TURKANA

The day starts off with an early morning call and after a quick cup of tea; you will head out for a boat ride on the Lake. Here you will have the opportunity to see the profusion birdlife. We will then stop over at an Island, where you will have a short walking safari and guided tour around the island and return to the boat. After the boat ride, we will return to camp for breakfast. After breakfast, we will spend the day at camp, lunch will be served at camp as well. In the evening we will go to a cliff for sundowners as we watch the sun setting over Lake Turkana.

DAY 7: TURKANA – MARALAL 

We start off the day early with a wake up call at 0600hrs. After an early breakfast, we will decamp and depart for Maralal by  0730hrs. Enroute, we will stop over for a picnic lunch, and should arrive at camp towards late afternoon and we will set up camp and in the evening have tea followed by dinner.

DAY 8: MARALAL – NAKURU

We start off the day early with a wake up call at 0600hrs. After an early breakfast, we will decamp and depart for Nakuru by  0730hrs. Enroute, we will stop over for a picnic lunch, and should arrive at camp towards late afternoon and we will set up camp. Pending on our time schedule, we will have a game drive, during which we will visit the Lakeshore to see the fabulous Pink Flamingos. Lake Nakuru is also a reputed Rhino Sanctuary, with over 100 Rhinos, we will try our best to seek them out for you. We will then return to camp in the evening at 1830hrs for tea followed by dinner.

DAY 9: NAKURU - NAIROBI

We start the day off early with a morning game drive at 0630hrs. During the game drive we will focus on seeking out cats. We will also visit the Makalia Falls and Baboon Cliffs look out, a cliff that overlooks Lake Nakuru. We will return to camp at 0930hrs for breakfast. After a late breakfast, we will decamp and head out to Nairobi. Enroute, we will stop over for a picnic lunch, and should arrive back in Nairobi towards early afternoon, to wind up a camping safari holiday. We will then drop you off at your hotel.
