NCS20: AFRICA OFF THE BEATEN TRACK - Meru, Mt Kenya, Nakuru [5days safari]

Itinerary:

DAY1: NAIROBI - MERU

We will come and pick your from your hotel, and depart from it by 0730hrs for Meru National Park. Before heading out of Nairobi, we will stop over at a convenience store so that you may but your desired drinks and drinking water. Enroute, we will stop over for a picnic lunch, and then proceed for Meru. We should arrive at the Park by mid afternoon, whereby you will have a game drive as we head to camp. Upon reaching camp, we will set up camp and pending on our time schedule, we will depart for an evening game drive by 1600hrs and return to camp by 1830hrs for evening tea followed by dinner.

DAY 2: MERU

We start off the day early with a wake up call at 0600hrs. After a quick cup of tea, we depart for our early morning game drive at 0630hrs to seek out the big cats amongst the other vast variety of wildlife in the Mara. We will then return to camp at 0930hrs for breakfast. After breakfast, we will spend the afternoon at camp and also have lunch here. In the late afternoon, at 1600hrs, we will depart for our evening game drive and return to camp at 1830hrs for tea and dinner.

DAY 3: MERU - MT. KENYA

After breakfast, we will pack up and head out of the camp. You will have a game drive enroute to the park gate and then we will to Mt. Kenya. We should arrive at camp towards mid day, upon which we will set up camp and have a picnic lunch. After lunch, you will have a nature walk in the Mt. Kenya forest and return to camp in the evening or at leisure. In the evening we will serve you with tea and dinner.

DAY 4: MT. KENYA - NAKURU

After breakfast, we will decamp and head out for Nakuru National Park. Enroute we will stop over at the Thompson’s Falls, where you will have a chance to see this magnificent water falls. We will then proceed towards Lake Nakuru Park, where we should arrive at the park by late morning, and have a game drive as we head to camp. Upon reaching camp, we will set up camp and have our picnic lunch at camp. At 1600hrs, we will depart for an evening game drive, where by we will head out to the lake shore, to see the fabulous pink Flamingos that have made Lake Nakuru their home. After the lakeshore drive, we will proceed with our game drive, seeking out the cats. We will return to camp at 1830hrs, for evening tea, followed by dinner.

DAY 5: NAKURU - NAIROBI

We start the day off early with a morning game drive at 0630hrs. During the game drive we will focus on seeking out Rhinos, Nakuru Park is one of the biggest Rhino Sanctuaries in the world. We will also visit the Makalia Falls and Baboon Cliffs look out. We will return to camp at 0930hrs for breakfast. After a late breakfast, we will decamp and head out to Nairobi. Enroute, we will stop over for a picnic lunch, and should arrive back at your hotel towards early afternoon, to wind up a camping safari holiday in Kenya
