SAMBURU: 350 km from Nairobi.

Samburu is towards the North of Kenya. It is a semi - arid, dry bush land, with the River Ewaso Nyiro flowing through it.

Leopards can easily be sighted here and so can Oryx, Elephant and Gazelle. Unique species such as the Somali Ostrich, Gravy Zebra and the Reticulated Giraffe are also seen here. 

The Ewaso Nyiro is a permanent river that is the source of water to all the wildlife in Samburu. One is bound to see Crocodiles basking on its  sandy river banks.
